Oliver Goldsmith round glasses remade for 2012 – as worn by John Lennon
New York-based actress Emily Bennett wears Oliver Oval/Pro from Oliver Goldsmith – a titanium remake of the original Windsor-bridge spectacles worn by John Lennon.
The W-bridge, invented in the 1880s is a feature of many (in fact most) Windsor frames although the W does not stand for Windsor but is simply a comment on the bridge's shape, so although Oliver Goldsmith may have called this a Windsor bridge (and indeed did so on tv most recently) that's his use of a name, not the accepted use and technically this is not in fact a Windsor frame since no part of it is covered in plastic.
